About the role
We are looking for an ambitious and talented self-starter to join our trade-facing account team. Working remotely and reporting directly into the agency’s leadership team, the successful applicant will play a pivotal role in managing a cluster of high-profile destination clients across the UK & Irish markets. As such, you will need to be a confident communicator, a skilled networker, have a good eye for an opportunity and be able to strategically manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
The role would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities before others do and bringing fresh ideas to the table. You’ll also need to be comfortable working independently and excited by the fast-moving nature of a growing agency environment. Alongside account management, the role offers the opportunity to help shape strategy, contribute to new business conversations and play an active role in the continued growth of the agency.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
Manage a portfolio of international destination clients in the UK & Irish market
Develop and manage annual sales and marketing plans aligned with client objectives
Act as a key contact for clients, providing regular reporting and strategic direction
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and in-market industry developments
Identify opportunities and proactively contribute ideas to support client growth and visibility
Product Development
Conduct and deliver in-depth tour operator product audits annually
Identify and capitalise on opportunities for product development
Be the champion for new ground product and experiences
Work closely with partners to increase product visibility and drive commercial growth
Trade Sales & Business Development
Build and maintain relationships with receptives, tour ops, agents and key stakeholders
Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to help drive room night growth
Conduct sales calls, virtual presentations, webinars and in-person training sessions
Negotiate coop marketing opportunities and tactical campaigns with trade partners
Represent clients and the agency at industry events, networking functions and trade shows
Events
Coordinate FAM trips, trade events and educational programs
Leverage airline and industry relationships to support FAM logistics and partnerships
Work with trade partners to Identify and recruit attendees for FAMS and events
Host FAMS and manage any pre and post communication and follow-ups
Create engaging and memorable industry experiences that strengthen client relationships
About You
Essential Experience
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in trade sales, destination marketing or hospitality sales
Strong understanding of the UK & Irish outbound travel trade landscape
Experience managing multiple accounts and client expectations simultaneously
Proven ability to build relationships and deliver commercial or engagement results
Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Highly organised with strong project management ability
Confident networking and relationship-building skills
Strong written reporting and creative writing skills
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently within a remote team
A creative thinker who enjoys bringing new ideas and energy to projects
Desirable
Experience representing luxury travel brands or destinations
Previous experience working within a representation agency
Existing relationships within the UK & Irish travel trade community
Experience hosting events, FAM trips or industry activations
Travel Requirements
Willingness to travel internationally, particularly to the U.S.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends during events and sales missions/FAMS
